8 is the number of graves on the beach in the other 48 days
4+8+15+16+23+42=108, the number of minutes the computer counts down in the bunker. That's probably NOT a coincidence, like the rest of the easter eggs on this page...
Jack was in seat 23. The girl that he meets in the bar before flight was in seat 42.
